zoooooooo affairrr went to the zoo with XT on mon thanks to XT we've got a 20% discount for the admission tickets and $1 off the tram rides...thanks to awesome XT's heart of GOLD..all the discount we've got was from her blood donation thingy...i wished i wasnt so afraid of blood pain and needles...then i could have gone for a blood donation as well...not because of the coupons and the freebies but because its really meaningful to give blood and save lifes... tiger trek next..saw erm the tiger doing something to the female tiger after pacing back and forth for like 20+ times...XT joked there might be a baby tiger the next time we visit the zoo again...ahahahhas...but it was too funny when everyone went OOhhhhhhhh...hahahahas..i was too slow to record it down...and it happened too fast...we didnt even expect something like that to happen..it was like watching animal planet LIVE...hahahahas... saw hippos...oh man...they have eye lashes...i didnt know until yesterday...they were both sleeping in an awkard position underwater..so we could have a close look...they were super giganto...oh and someone mentioned that they could stay underwater for 6mins...wooh...thats beri cooolll!!!next were the warthogs, and then the Australian Outback (reminds me of Outback Steakhouse...oops...) where the kangaroos and the wallabys were...they were damn near to us but not close enough for us to touch them..but they were too adorable...and we saw 1 of the kangeroos hopping...but then again..i was too slow to capture it on my camcorder... :( and we actually found out that "kangeroo" means "i don't know" in "i forgot what language"...hehehehes... next we went to see the Baboons...OMGawdy gawdy...their buttocks are too scary...its really too red and too swollen...this student volunteer explained to us that when their butts are swollen it means that they are ready to mate...but the state of their butts just makes me wonder if sitting down hurts..but she explained that it wouldnt hurt at all..(as if she experienced it herself...)but anyways, the baby baboons were really really cute...clinging on to their mommy...and there are actually 7 to 8 families of baboons living together in that same area...and the leader had to take care of the babies in case they got "kidnapped" into the other families.. sometimes they protect the little ones by holding on to the tails of the younger baboons in case they wander too far from their own group..went around and looked at other species of monkeys... was tired..so we took the tram ride around...went to look at the orang utans...and XT insisted that this black thing in the water is a baby orang utan taking a bath...but ITS NOT...even if it was an orang utan baby, it would have been dead because its too tiny to be taking a bath by itself and with the water gushing out like nobody's business, it would have died instantly...in the end, we came to a conclusion that it was just a rock or something...wasnt a baby orang utan at all... was JIT for the polar bear feeding session...well, it wasnt really a feeding session...more like a snacking session..imagine a 450/500kg polar bear having only half a watermelon and a few scraps of meat for lunch??i seriously don't think its enough..learnt that polar bears shred too..just like dogs..and after shredding, they are not white anymore..they're black..and their fur is actually clear NOT white!!! went to see the white rhino after that...feeding session again..they're eating bananas watermelon apples??? zebras...wanted to take pictures of them but they kept their butts to me...fine..give up... Giraffes are next..i love giraffes...their eye lashes damn long can??and they were so damn close to us...and yeah...feeding sessions...was so disappointed...we missed alot of chances to feed them..hmph...its okay..i'll feed them the next time i go to the zoo.. cheetah, ostrich, lions and jaguars...there was only 1 male lion..i wanted to take a picture of him but he wouldnt let me...he just wanders here and there and hid behind a tree..freaking masochistic lion...hmms..reptiles and snakes were up next..the entrance was infested with creepy worms or whatever they were...so XT and me had to bend down and hurried through..the green anaconda and this other huge python were spectacular but XT was sooo scared she was holding on to me the whole time...from the moment we stepped into the reptile place...hahahas..they were behind glass thats why i wasnt so scared...i'll probably freak out if they were roaming around...went to look at crocodiles (cocodiles) after that...super huge...wanted to take a closer look but timid XT was holding on to me again..machiam the crocodile will break through the glass and grab her in...hahahas... went KidzWorld!!!saw PONIES,HORSES and goats...SUPER DUPER CUTEEE!!!! I LIKE!!!!wanted to ride on the horses initially but when i saw them pulling the carriages, i opted out..cause they looked so poorthing...their line was sight was blocked so they couldnt look elsewhere except the front...and theres the horsemen siiting at the back urging the horses to move forward...too me, thats kinda cruel..i don't wanna be just another person to ride on them..it isnt fun this way..they looked sad...and i really pity the ponies and other animals in KidzWorld...cause they had to endure the screamings and tauting of those kids...i think it will really frighten those poor animals..but they're stuck there in their stables with nowhere to run from those screaming kids...thats plain cruelty.. there's this "kampong house" in KidzWorld as well..apparently it features all the creepy crawlies, bugs and insects in a kampong house..its too GROSS can???!!! the mealworms were exceptionally long and fat and there are these super huge white rats!!! and fake gigantic cockroaches...i was having goosebumps all over me..i had to get out of that place immediately..went to sit at KFC cause suddenly it started drizzling... luckily it stopped drizzling after awhile...went to look at more monkeys..there was this Proboscis monkey with very very large nose..it was er....not very nice...saw Chimpanzees!!!love them to bits...too cute!!! esp the babies!!!Oooooooo.....went to watch some show again...penguins and sealions..super duper cute and intelligent!!!! went to watch the elephant show..the elephants were too clever...all the stunts they put up requires great effort from both the elephants and the trainers..but i guess the trainings the elephants had were very tough...esp where 1 of the elephant had to drag some log into and out the water...reckon its very tough for them...its damn heavycan??and they had to go under the hot sun...after the show, its the feeding session again and people can feed them fruits??!! took they tram to the nearest station to the exits..on the way out, saw flamingos...XT wanted to see the white tigers again..so we walked back...but all of them were sleeping..or just merely staring into space..so we gave up..and continued making our way out..saw tapirs and XT kept calling them 大便...tsk tsk tsk.. visited the souvenir shop...didnt get anything even though i wanted to...cause too expensives...they're tourists priced..(if u get what i mean..) was too tired to talk and both of us kept drifting off on the bus back to AMK...took the train home, bathe and knocked out...hehehes... |
